About the Role As an intern in the role of Test Embedded Software Engineer, you'll dive into the fascinating realm of embedded systems tailored for aerospace applications.

Primary Responsibilities Test Embedded Software Engineer, magniX USA, Inc.
Everett, WA main responsibility is to develop test cases and procedures for software verification activities as per the company plans and process.
Develop test cases and procedures for software verification and validation activities, ensuring comprehensive coverage of software requirements and objectives.
Software Integration Testing: Perform integration testing to verify the functionality and interoperability of embedded software components within the target hardware platform.
Requirements Traceability: Maintain traceability as per the defined plans ensuring complete coverage.
Test Execution and Reporting: Execute test cases according to the defined test procedures, meticulously documenting test results, observations, and any deviations from expected behavior.
Defect Management: Identify and report software defects using designated defect tracking tools, following established procedures for defect prioritization, escalation, and resolution.
Configuration Management: Adhere to configuration management practices, ensuring proper version control and configuration identification of test artifacts and software baselines.
Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to embedded software testing in the aviation domain.
Adherence to Quality Standards: Uphold high standards of quality and excellence in all testing activities, striving for accuracy, thoroughness, and rigor in verification and validation processes.
Requirements: Currently pursuing or recently finished a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Good understanding of programming languages commonly used in embedded systems development, such as C/C++.
Basic knowledge of hardware interfaces and communication protocols used in embedded systems.
Eagerness to contribute to writing and executing test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts for embedded software systems.
Strong technical problem-solving skills; to be able to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions (i.
e.
common-sense approach, not embarrassed to ask the “obvious” questions).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment Must be able to be onsite at magniX’s facility in Everett 3-4 days per week.
Must be able to work 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded software development methodologies.
Prior experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers Duration 3 months, beginning May or June 2024 (depending on student schedule) 40 hours per week Possibility of extension part time during school year Work Authorization Employer work visa sponsorship and support are not provided for this role.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at hire and must maintain authorization to work in the United States throughout their internship without the assistance of magniX.
