The Senior Accountant will be a key player in our finance team, bringing expertise in bookkeeping, accounts payable, payroll processing, and monthly accounting closes.

Role and Responsibilities
Assist the monthly financial close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reports.
Assist in analysis of financial data to identify trends, advise on financial performance, and support strategic decision-making.
Oversee daily bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate record keeping of transactions.
Manage financial records in compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
Efficiently manage accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and maintaining supplier relations.
Process payroll accurately and on time, reporting to the Director of Finance and the Director of Human Resources.
Manage AP and Payroll, and any related entries in Restaurant 365
Utilize Restaurant 365 and various POS systems to optimize financial operations.
Continually seek ways to improve back-office efficiency and operational effectiveness through the adoption of new technologies.
Assist in the preparation and management of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into financial planning and control.
Assist in developing compliance with all statutory requirements related to finance, including tax filings and reporting.

Requirements:
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA or equivalent qualification is a bonus.
At least 3 years of accounting experience, with a significant portion in the restaurant industry or a related private sector preferred.
Strong proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Restaurant 365 preferred
Experienced with multiple POS systems, demonstrating an understanding of their integration into financial systems.
Work Environment
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Time divided between desk work and meetings.
Some travel required between restaurants.
