The Development Lead is hired by the school administration with careful consideration of personal character, spiritual leadership, professional training, and experience, realizing that they are a role-model of Christ-likeness to all students.
The Development Lead shall assist school administration in providing quality Christian education and helping in the smooth and efficient operation of Northshore Christian Academy, adhere to the standards and conditions of the Northshore Christian Academy’s Personnel Manual and Faculty Handbook, and desire to abide by the requirements within.
The Development Department is a ministry of Northshore Christian Academy and exists to help offset continued capital costs and fund strategic projects/programs needed to maintain NCA’s level of excellence.
The Development Team’s efforts provide opportunities to build community, relationships, stewardship, and generosity.
This position will team with the Development Department and NCA volunteers for the coordination and management of fundraising events for NCA.
As a ministry to our students, families, staff, and community, our goal is to steward every dollar raised, so as much as possible can go back to the students and help support the ongoing ministry of the school.
Requirements: 35 hours per week.
Work hours follow NCA school calendar Sept - June.
Off the month of July.
Some hours may be required during August.
Extra hours may be required during peak fundraising seasons/events.
*Essential Functions* * Team with Development Director and Development Coordinator to plan and execute major fundraising events: Walk-a-Thon & Annual Benefit Auction * Represent Northshore Christian Academy in a professional and ethical manner * Assist with communication / marketing efforts of parents, grandparents, alumni, and community at large.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School and Development Director * Active participant in building the NCA community *Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities* * Knowledge of essential fundraising and/or basic event planning.
* Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects.
* Sound administrative skills and computer/technology proficiency (Microsoft and Google Suites, internet research).
* Possess strong oral and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to team with, recruit, and inspire parent volunteers in conjunction with the Development Team.
* Understanding of fiscal accountability.
* Basic knowledge of program and donor development, and community relations * Ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
* Ability to take initiative and utilize innovative techniques to reach organizational goals.
* Have high integrity and moral character, supporting the mission, philosophy, policies, and ideals of Northshore Christian Church and Academy.
* Maintain confidential information.
* Advanced experience working with software/platforms such as Blackbaud, Bloomerang, and Greater Giving; preferred.
* In-depth experience with fundraising and project management.
* Event and volunteer experience in an educational environment.
* Experience working with the community, PTF members, staff, parents, and general school staff in fund raising capacity.
* Ability to be proactive and a self-starter * Possess strong oral and written communication skills * Excellent team building, customer service, and problem-solving skills * Project-oriented task experience * Computer/technology proficiency * Able to lift and move items under 20 pounds * May require occasional evening/weekend time during certain fundraising seasons * Cooperates with the administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the operation of the school.

Job Type: Part-time Pay: $20.
00 - $23.
